At Flying Elephant Theatre, we believe that the stories students encounter in childhood can shape how they see themselves, others, and the world around them. Since 2020, and previously under the name Spark of Inspiration, our team has delivered professional, original musicals to more than 20,000 students across South Australia. Whether it’s through a science-infused theatre incursion or a magical Christmas story on stage, our shows are designed to spark reflection, conversation, and curiosity long after the lights go down.
We offer both school incursions and OSHC excursions, making it easy for schools and care providers to bring live theatre into students’ lives. Incursions allow us to transform your school gym, hall, or theatre space into a world of story, bringing professional actors, music, and set pieces directly to your students. For excursions, we work with local venues to ensure accessible, well-organised performances where OSHC and school groups can enjoy a live show together in a shared community setting.

Each production is developed with young audiences in mind, typically suited for students from Reception to Year 6. Our performances often explore themes such as resilience, anxiety, grief, friendship, wonder, and curiosity, making them ideal for follow-up discussions in the classroom. Our shows are accompanied by learning resources and activity suggestions for teachers, giving schools a deeper way to connect the story to student growth and learning outcomes.
