Our first regional excursion

Dear Friends,
A month ago today, we journeyed beyond the walls of Adelaide's rolling hills and up into the Spencer Gulf for our first regional performance.
Thanks to the generous support of Port Augusta Performing Arts, The Benevolent Fund and Port Augusta City Council, The Boy with the Golden Fox delighted new audiences. It was a new experience for the company that was full of mishaps and hiccups, but in the end it was something to be proud of.
This season of The Boy with the Golden Fox starred Nira as Ewing and Adam Roling as the jaded Fox. Naomi Crosby, Brooke Stevens and Bailey Sprecak all brought the supporting roles to life and made sure the world of the story felt full of wonder, light, and sometimes a little bit of terror.
Tickets were free for the community of Port Augusta and were sold out in the weeks leading up to the performance. It was also great to meet Children's University members after the show to stamp their passports.

a few weeks on and the little one still asks to play ‘golden fox’, and now whenever she finds a stick in the garden she tells me it’s her ‘hunter stick’ – the show must have made a big impression!
I do hope this is the first of many regional adventures to come. Indeed, there has already been a great deal of adventuring leading up to it! I am extremely grateful to those who helped bring this story to a new audience, to the cast I was privileged to direct, and to the volunteers who filled the various gaps that appeared.
I'm not sure what's next for The Boy with the Golden Fox. This was the fourth consecutive season - something I can't quite believe! Perhaps our friendly Fox needs some time to rest before his next big adventure.
As always, thank you for following along on this journey. I can't wait to let you know what's happening next.
Warmly,
Benji Riggs
