We’re thrilled to share some exciting news that will help open the doors of our work to even more young people across South Australia.
The Flying Elephant Company is now an official Learning Destination with Children’s University – a partnership that gives CU members access to exclusive discounts to our performances and the opportunity to have their passports stamped at every show they attend.
We’re excited to welcome Children’s University members for the very first time at our upcoming performance of The Boy with the Golden Fox in Port Augusta this June, followed by our development season of Giant Leap in July, and our 2025 return seasons of I Wonder and Book Nooks.
For those unfamiliar, Children’s University is a global program that encourages children and young people to participate in rich, out-of-school learning experiences that expand their curiosity and confidence. Operating across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Africa, the program rewards students aged 5 to 14 for taking initiative in their learning journeys and offers leadership and volunteer opportunities for older students aged 15 to 18. By partnering with schools, cultural institutions, and community organisations, CU supports a lifelong love of learning and empowers families to grow alongside their children.

Becoming a CU Learning Destination marks an important milestone in The Flying Elephant Company’s vision for the future. A key priority for us is expanding our reach into regional communities, and in just a few weeks, we’ll take our first leap toward that goal with our debut performance in Port Augusta. We hope this milestone not only shows what’s possible but lays the foundation for a strong and lasting relationship with audiences beyond Adelaide. The extended reach of Children’s University will play an invaluable role in making future touring possible, helping us connect with schools, families, and young learners in communities we’ve only dreamed of reaching until now.
We’re deeply grateful to Children’s University for this opportunity, and as always, to you – our audience, partners, and friends – for continuing to walk alongside us as this adventure grows.
